Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to direct us not to sell or share your personal information. This right is provided under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Residents of other states with similar laws may exercise the same request through the methods below.

What "sell or share" means here

When you submit a free review form or call us, DebtValidate.com transmits the information you provide — such as your name, phone number, email, address, date of birth, and details about your debt situation — to participating providers and marketing partners so that one of them can contact you. Under California law, that transfer may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, even though you asked us to make the connection.

DebtValidate.com is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission or any government agency. Opting out here does not affect any dispute or complaint you have with a collector or agency.

What happens when you opt out

When you submit an opt-out request, we will:

• Stop transmitting your personal information to participating providers and marketing partners for matching or marketing purposes
• Add your name, phone number, and email to our suppression list
• Not use your information for our own marketing

Please note: opting out does not affect information that was already transmitted before we received your request. If a provider or partner has already received your information, you may contact them directly to exercise your rights with them. How to submit a request

Choose either method. We will confirm receipt and complete your request within 15 business days.

• Phone: (888) 555-0199 — tell the representative you want to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information

Include the name, phone number, and email you used when you contacted us so we can locate your record. We only use this information to process your request.

You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may ask the agent for proof of authorization.

California residents also have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Request correction of inaccurate personal information
• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Limit the use of sensitive personal information
• Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
